The Gator Gang
was founded in fall 2001 for third through fifth graders who enjoy nature and
the outdoors. Each meeting is full of hands-on learning activities and outdoor

Muskrateers
Club
Muskrateers began in 2005 for sixth through eighth grade
students. Club meetings consist of meaningful hands-on learning opportunities
and fun! Students will help to carry out ecological restoration projects as well
as participate in other ecology based activities. Meetings will take place monthly
(except December and July). To

Creek
Freaks
The Creek Freaks Club was founded in 2003 for students in
eighth through twelfth grade. These young scientists perform chemical and biological
monitoring of Butler Creek, and they were recognized by President George W. Bush with the President's Environmental Youth Award in 2005 and by the Secretary of the United
States Department of the Interior Gale Norton with the Youth Division of the Take
Pride in America Award in 2004. This club focuses on stream and water quality
issues in the Nature Park and Central Savannah River Area. To

Eagle Eyes Birding Club NEW!!
The Academy is pleased to offer an additional club for students ages 7 to 16. Membership includes monthly meetings, quarterly bird walks, and participation in the annual Georgia Youth Birding Competition.
