All contributions to the Southeastern Natural Sciences Academy are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and are always welcome. Contributions can be in the form of cash or through stock. These contributions are used to support our education, research and outreach programs.

Contributions have been received in honor of individual's birthdays, from proud new grandparents, on behalf of special wedding anniversaries and in memory of beloved friends and family members. When any contribution is received, a letter is forwarded to the appropriate individuals indicating that a gift was given in their honor or in memory of a family member.

Phinizy Swamp Nature Park is being developed one piece at a time through generous donations received from friends, family, organizations, foundations and corporations.

Sponsorships come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges. Available sponsorships are described below.

Nature Park Fund $100

This fund covers items that are vital to the Nature Park's success, such as park maintenance equipment, trash can enclosures, directional signs needed throughout the park, and a myriad of other critically important items.



Phinizy Swamp Nature Park Adopt-A-Tree Program $200

Interested in a sponsorship idea that will last a lifetime? The Academy has an ongoing tree-planting campaign to beautify the Nature Park’s entrance and front parking lot areas, and the Phinizy Swamp Campus. Ultimately, the Academy will plant hundreds of trees.

Trail Sign $250

These signs are found at each trailhead throughout the Nature Park. A small plaque bearing the name of the donor, or the occasion for the donation (if given in memory or honor of someone) will be affixed to the sign.

Bench $600

These teak benches are located in strategic locations throughout the Nature Park and provide a rest area for guests in some of the park's most picturesque spots. A small plaque bearing the name of the donor, or the occasion for the donation (if given in memory or honor of someone) will be affixed to the bench.

Kiosk $2,000

These freestanding exhibits are found throughout the Nature Park and provide educational information to visitors. Academy staff also use these to inform guests about upcoming events, partnership opportunities and volunteer activities. A small plaque bearing the name of the donor, or the occasion for the donation (if given in memory or honor of someone) will be affixed to these beautifully constructed kiosks.

Outdoor Classroom $5,000

These structures are utilized almost daily by Academy staff for education and public outreach. Several additional classrooms are needed throughout the Nature Park. A small plaque bearing the name of the donor, or the occasion for the donation (if given in memory or honor of someone) will be affixed to the podium at these cherished classrooms.

Observation Deck and Boardwalk

These magnificent structures are the heart and soul of the Nature Park. Several additional structures are planned in the initial Nature Park Park vision and provide a wonderful place for instruction, picnics, special events and communing with nature.
