SWAMP-A-RAMA II
Level 4
- Student can accurately list the components of any animal's habitat, and can describe limiting factors within the habitat.
- Student can list more than four different types of habitats in nature, and accurately list three or four of the animals that live in each.
- Student understands that plants and animals adapt to survive in various habitats and can list at least 5 adaptations of plants and animals in a wetland habitat.
- Student can list several adaptations of predators versus prey.
Level 3
- Student can accurately list the components of an animal's habitat, but does not understand the concept of limiting factors.
- Student can list less than four different habitats, and two or three animals that live in each.
- Student understands that plants and animals adapt to survive in various habitats and can list at least 3 adaptations of plants and animals in a wetland habitat.
- Student can list several adaptations of predators versus prey.
Level 2
- Student can only list one or two components of an animal's habitat, and does not understand limiting factors.
- Student can only list one or two habitats and only one or two animal that live in each.
- Student understands that plants and animals adapt to survive in various habitats but has trouble listing any adaptations in a wetland habitat.
- Student understands that predators and prey are different but has trouble listing adaptations of each.
Level 1
- Student cannot accurately list any of the components of an animal's habitat.
- Student cannot accurately list any habitats.
- Student does not understand that plants and animals adapt to survive in various habitats.
- Student does not understand the differences between predator and prey.
